WhatsApp’s Video Calling Feature Only for Android Users

WhatsApp is a renowned messaging app that has been around for some time now. It is considered as the most convenient way of quickly sending messages to any friend on your contact list. Apart from sending text messages, you can send voice messages, images, videos and links. Some most personal moments are shared on Whatsapp and thus, it now includes end-to-end encryption. This means that your messages and calls are secured so that only you and the person you are communicating with can read or listen to them and no one else in between. On the other hand, with whatsapp Calling feature, there is no need to worry about expensive calling charges. This is because it uses your phone’s internet connection instead of your phone’s calling plan. This messaging app wants to be your all-in-one communication tool and thus, it is now getting video-calling feature.

However, only Android Users will be able to avail the benefit of video calling. In order to get your hands on the new feature, there is a need to download the beta version of the WhatsApp Android app and after completing the download, you will get to see two options when you hit the dialer button. These options include voice call and video call. You must be aware of the fact there could be some bugs as the feature is available in beta. If you are looking forward to try this functionality, you have the chance to join the beta program by hitting the “Become a Tester” button.

It is said that the move into video calling wasn’t totally unexpected for this messaging app. In fact, in the starting of this month, Windows Phone users began reporting that they are enjoying the video calling feature on their devices. On the other hand, now that the feature has made its way to Android, it will be seen on iOS in the near future. Users of WhatsApp always wanted the video calling feature and they find it very strange that when Facebook Messenger has video calling then why this feature is absent from WhatsApp. Now when it has the feature, the wait is to see that how long such apps stay in the market. So, now with number of free apps for video calling on the Google Play, WhatsApp is also going to make an addition in the list. There is no exaggeration in saying that you are now able to enjoy the video calling in your WhatsApp.
