Investigation: The Granger House

I was invited to the Riverside Iowa Paranormal investigation of the Granger House. The home was full of beautiful antique furniture. Most of it original to the Granger family. On display were the locks of the Granger boy. Delicate, curly Golden Locks.

The event was streamed on the Spirit Realm Network via Facebook. I was interviewed at the beginning and then the investigation began. In the room that was once the funeral parlor, we had the mag light test going and the one in from of me kept lighting up. I swapped it with another and the one in front of me lit up again.

Later I moved to the boy’s room upstairs. This is where the golden locks are on display. Several of us worked on contacting the child. A K-II meter picked up something in the boys chair next to the bed. The 360 degree EMF detector picked up a lot of activity. When the activity slowed down, others moved on to another room. I stayed behind to do some EVP work. Nothing was captured, mostly because of all the background noise. As I was putting up my gear, I thought I heard a child giggle over by the golden locks.

I moved out to the Carriage House for an EVP session by myself. This is where I captured a Class A ghostly EVP.

I asked, “How old are you” and got a clear response, “Twelve.” There was a loud thud, I don’t know what caused it and then I captured what sounds like a woman humming right before I ask my next question. I got about 5min worth of EVP work before my battery was drained. I was in the carriage house earlier with a group and my camcorder battery was drained after 5min. So both batteries lasted 5min in the carriage house.

It was an interesting evening. One I look forward to again.
