Much is said that meditating is good, but one of the biggest problems that comes when someone suggests Meditation is the lack of time.
With the lifestyle we have, whether we dedicate ourselves to work, family, or everyday chores, time really is something we don’t have left over. The day has 24 hours for everyone and, therefore, we need to be very clear about the priorities of what needs to be done, and meditation and practices aimed at well-being do not always end up on the list of urgent tasks. But there is a way to improve this situation: turning an everyday moment into meditation.
One of the best times of the day to relax is during the bath . Water has a therapeutic effect and relaxes, in addition to cleaning the body. So, why not use that moment to do meditation and add even more benefits?
This practice affects the well-being of the mind, body, spirit and emotions. Therefore, in addition to cleaning your physical body, doing a meditation during the bath you will also balance your energies, your mind and your being as a whole. See below how to meditate in the bath:
- When you are under the shower, close your eyes and breathe slowly. Feel the water falling on your body. This first step is necessary for you to get out of the automatic way of doing things. The bath can be a moment of peace, as long as you are not doing it in a very robotic way.
- Pay attention to your thoughts. You don’t have to think about your problems while showering. If there is a bad thought or one that takes the focus off the moment, try to put it away.
- Now is a time to practice visualization. With your eyes closed, visualize in your mind that the water that falls on you is taking away all the bad energies that are with you. Be it thoughts, feelings or heavy vibrations, the water is taking everything away. If you already have practice with visualizations, you can even go a little further and imagine that the water in the shower falls from a waterfall. If you know about chakras, you can also see that the water that falls cleans each one.
- Now that you have visualized all the energetic dirt going down the drain, open your eyes and enjoy the bath focusing on the moment, without dispersing your thinking to other tasks. One of the keys to good meditation and mind control is the power to focus on the now, the present. Take a shower paying attention to your body and the water that falls and see how that moment can be much more relaxing than it was before. Take a good shower!
