CSIR-CCMB Jobs 2017: Research Associate, India

CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has invited applications for the position of Research Associate in a project entitled “Epigenetic regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase III” under CSIR Emeritus Scientist Scheme in the lab of Dr Purnima Bhargava at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad. This position is purely temporary & on contractual basis and is co-terminus with the project’s tenure.

Job Title: Research Associate [RA-I]

Job Location: Hyderabad

Educational Qualification: Doctorate (PhD) in LIFE SCIENCES.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Good academic record with a first class masters degree and a good publication record.
  • Experience in gene cloning, sub-cloning, yeast genetics and genetic manipulations, basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
  • Experience in working with DNA and proteins, genomics, knowledge of NGS data analysis.

Salary: Rs.36,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicable/admissible.

Age Limit: 35 years as on application closing date

Selection Process: Selection of the candidates will be based on initial screening based on qualifications/experience & suitability of the candidates to the nature of research project. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee in interview candidates will be empanelled and appointed. The pool of selected candidates will be valid for a maximum period of one year.
