The way you begin your day will play a major role in how Successful you make it. It is well known that if you begin your Morning on a sour note or flood your mind with negative thoughts, or get yourself wrapped up in the morning news consisting of negative programming, you more than likely will head down that road throughout the day. Who needs that?
It will help you to know that what we can get in control of our day and increase the likelihood that we will conquer and get the results we are expecting by working on two key areas.
1. Plan Your Day The Night Before. It's no secret that being organized and having your plans well thought out and recorded in your daily planner, for instance, will help you get your ducks in a row and by mentally rehearsing those plans the night before, you help in bringing the desired outcomes to pass.
I personally use this method and have for years when it comes to staying organized and ready to do battle the following morning. Whether it's going to the gym and mentally rehearsing what exercises I plan to do for a selected body part or, getting my clients routines down and how I plan on approaching their case, it's always been rehearsed and written down on my planner the night before.
This gives your subconscious time to get the game plan organized and, set you up for a successful outcome. We know our subconscious cannot tell the difference between a real event that is taking place literally or, one that you are visualizing.
So once you approach your desired outcome whether it's the gym, an important staff meeting or, a public speaking presentation, your mind will have already completed the process and, will allow you to be more efficient when you do begin the activity.
In other words, you will have already" been there and done that" things then have a tendency to go a whole lot smoother. I have seen this work in my life and it can work for you. Preparation breeds confidence it was once said, being prepared makes you a winner!
2. Get Some Daily Exercise. To make sure you are doing everything to make yourself a success, plan to get up earlier in the morning and get in some exercise to get your brain and body functioning at peak performance.
It will take some discipline the night before to plan your exercise routine whether it is strength training, jogging, or better yet a combination of both. Your mind and body will feel supercharged after your workout and, will help calm you down making yourself better prepared for the day.
I personally will not start my work day until I have spent time in the gym getting a workout in followed with light cardio and stretching and get it done before the Sun comes up.
The important thing is to get a ritual started each morning that will help you become successful that day. Not only will it help increase your odds of a killer day but, it will also help you in your ability to rebound if the train starts to go off the rails as well. It helps to build resolve!
It's about developing a morning program of mental rehearsal and physical exercise just two ideas to help build the type of mental toughness you will need to be a success and taking charge of your destiny.
