Quick Tips: Remove Clipping Mask Easily on Illustrator

Did you ever opened an Illustrator file with so many annoying Clipping masks? In my case I got frustrated on locating the specific layer that I am trying to select with those pesky Clipping Mask on the way. Luckily, the solution to this was a script file. You can download it on the button below.

Remove Clipping mask .jsx

Here is a quick demo. Below is a file that I download over at FlatIcons.com, a vector icon that was generated with few Clipping Masks. In able to Remove this using the script, here are the 3 easy steps.

STEP 1

Once you've download the .Jsx File. You can put it on the most accessible location on your drive, regardless if its in tuck on the most deepest darkest folder on your drive or if its freely on the open on your desktop.

STEP 2

When you open a file with lots of clipping masks that you wish to eliminate, go to File > Scripts > Other Scripts.

STEP 3

Locate the .jsx file and hit "OPEN" button.

There you go! It will automatically locate all the clipping mask and remove it all at once. Now you got an all new unclipped mask illustrator file.
