Each day I will come across patients or people in public for that matter in their fifties, sixties, or even seventies who have given up on life.
In other words, instead of continuing to grow and prosper, they still subscribe to the old American cultural standard that once you reach so called retirement age they are just coasting to the finish line.
Retirement for many Americans is a time to stop all together however, true happiness comes when we have a purpose a passion for something in our lives.
Find something to get excited about, we all have something left undone, something we would have liked to been or seen but failed to accomplish for one reason or another.
Is it your health that is stopping you? Do something today to turn the corner. No matter what your age be determined to beat it now, get serious!
Its never too late to get yourself Physically Stronger and once you become physically stronger you become unstoppable in life. In fact, having a strong strength training program in place will revitalize your entire body and mind!
Life is about change and growth and believe me if you do not learn to adapt and overcome you will get left behind. Having a mind that is closed like a steel trap because ” that is they way it used to be” stinks, in fact, I make sure personally I do not associate with that type of attitude because I strongly believe that you become who you associate with.
To thrive in life means you continue to become better than you were yesterday both physically and mentally. Always have a goal to aim for, life can get very melancholy when you do not have something to shoot for.
I still think a large part of the depression syndrome that we have in this country is from attitudes of “It’s time to take it easy” and people that lack any physical exercise and social gathering.
We as humans are goal seeking machines, you were not designed to sit on your duff all day and get absorbed by the garbage you get on TV and the newspapers.
Our chronological age doesn’t mean a thing it’s our biological age that really matters.
Do not be a victim, be a victor.
