Xoxoday Relaunches Its Website

Xoxoday recently relaunched its website to ensure utmost ease of navigation for users worldwide. The beta version of the website was launched in September 2016, however it needed work on some more essentials, which included bringing out the Activities a user might be interested in doing over the website, and standardizing how the user will navigate through the website. We did primary and secondary research covering some companies in and outside India and also interacted with many users to gather their feedback.

This research gave us some valuable insights and we were able to conceptualize each of these requirements to make the website better and more user intent.

Here are some major things that we developed in the new version of our website:

  1. Better UX/UI for user to discover trending activities around him/her based on location, categories, planned date or date range
  2. In back-end, we developed a strong discovery engine, which would crawl the entire web to bring trending activities happening in and around that city
  3. The website journey of a user would start based on the location in which he or she wants to see exciting and trending activities, such as Trekking, Live events, City tours, Exhibitions etc. These activities are generally organized by individual #Hosts and trend on platforms such as Facebook and Google. On an average, a city such as Bangalore or Delhi has 2000+ #Hosts organizing 35000+ activities
  4. We also on-boarded around 1000 #Hosts on our platform to enable direct booking of 5000+ activities
  5. We also help users to book activities crawled from internet by directly connecting the #Host with the user

We also implemented latest SEO suggestions such as Structured data, which has made a huge impact on our Google and other search engine-based rankings. Now, most of our activities show up as top results on Google.

8 of us worked hard for 4 months to build the entire website (front-end + back-end). The new website was launched on the special occasion of Ugadi (29-March-2017).

Xoxoday has seen an upward spike in the traffic on its website just a month after the launch and received 500+ Activity Enquiries and 100+ Direct Bookings.
