Real Madrid president Florentino Perez admits star winger Cristiano Ronaldo is currently angered by his situation in Spain but is confident of retaining the Portuguese international.
Since being accused of tax evasion earlier this month, rumors have been rife suggesting Ronaldo could be set to leave the club this summer.
“I know Cristiano is angry, but I think he will stay,” Perez told esRadio. “I haven’t Spoken with him,” Perez said of Ronaldo.
“The only thing that has to be done is to wait and talk after the Confederations [Cup].” Despite having yet spoken to Ronaldo personally, Perez did reveal he had previously spoken to his agent Jorge Mendes regarding the issue.
“I have spoken with Mendes about him. No need to worry more than [is needed].”
