Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has expressed his dissatisfaction with the VAR goal-line technology system after controversy in the course of Real Madrid’s Club World Cup game.
Casemiro scored for the Spanish giants in the fixture against Al Jazira in the first half, but the effort was canceled after a delay that consumed much time, and Modric who ended up as the man of the match after the game criticized it.

“As far as I’m concerned, there is still confusion regarding VAR,” Modric said in the course of an interview with reporters as quoted by Marca.
“Sometimes it is beneficial but then again, Casemiro’s goal was disallowed because Benzema was influencing another player, so I’m not sure.
“I don’t want to get embroiled in this controversy and we should try not to worry about it and move on, as this is not our job as footballers and it is out of our control.
“I made comments before that some people did not like but the truth is I am confused by the system, it is unclear in what situations they will use it.
“Sometimes it takes too long to make the decisions and in this match, it was a mess.”
