This letter is for you. You that is caught between trying to Love your life and trying to run away from it. You that’s fighting sadness with eager hands, empty hearts and vacant eyes. You that spends more time worrying about losing the one you love than you spend trying to keep him or her. You that every single time you’ve ever thought something was too good to be true – you’ve been right. You that knows how to put your body inside someone else’s but not how to make it beautiful. You that’s slowly learning the power of letting go and the power of facing the emotional darkness you are in. You that inside you, you feel like dying because the emotional wounds are too deep, too fresh and too heavy for your body to carry. This letter is for you.
In spite of what you are going through, you must find the strength to go on. You must accept the fact that some people will never change. You must find it in your heart to forgive them. You must find it in your heart to forgive yourself and become a light so bright even the weapons that were fashioned against you never prospers.
The one that is putting you through this always have a piece of your heart and nothing you say or do will ever change that but a heart doesn’t have to stop beating to be dead. Don’t continue on this path just because you do not know how to start all over again. If your sun has set, it will rise again. Darkness always has an expiration date. It will not last forever. “Weeping may endure for but joy is coming!” (Psalms 30:5).
In the words of Joel Osteen, “You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.’”
Today, I Hope you choose love. I hope you let go of that which no longer serves its purpose. I hope you stop fighting sadness and stop fighting to love yourself. I hope you realise that the love of God is bigger than your problems. I hope you realise that His strength is stronger than your fears. I hope you realise that He can turn your waiting into dancing if you allow Him to step in (Jeremiah 32:27).
Every day is a new beginning. Take a deep breath and and say a quiet YES to God and He will be there in no time (James 4:8).
