Bastille Day, France’s Independence Day, commemorates the takeover of the Bastille prison on July 14, 1789, marking the beginning of the French Revolution.
In Kansas City, the owners of Le Fou Frog, Barbara and Mano Rafael, along with their Executive Chef, have planned a celebration of 21 years serving great food at 400 East 5th Street, in the historic River Market, and will turn Le Fou Frog into Frog Village for its 21st annual Bastille Day celebration, on Friday, July 13, 2018, Saturday, July 14 (Bastille Day), and Sunday, July 15, 2018.
The cabaret themed celebration, “It Takes a Vill-Ah-Zjeh, People!” presented by the talented staff at Frog Village will feature songs and dance spectaculars along with trivia games of chance and costumed characters to serve you. Take part in the festivities by dressing like a French villager, The Village People, or a disco dancer, as at the end of the night disco is an option.
The dinner menu will highlight traditional foods from Paris, Marseille, Gascony, and Lyon, and somewhere in France where they really, really, like vegetables for their vegetarian and vegan friends.
Seating times are 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., throughout the Bastille Day weekend.
