Wiebe Wakker finished his mammoth trip in Sydney, Australia having set off from the Netherlands three years ago.
His journey, aimed at promoting the benefits of a carbon-free future, took him through Europe, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia before finally reaching Australia.
Wakker was reliant on the generosity of strangers throughout his journey when it came to charging his car, finding a place to stay and finding food and drink.
The 59,000 mile trek reached its end as the Dutchman drove his converted VW Golf across the Sydney Harbour Bridge flanked by an escort of electric vehicles.
