I did not believe the hype about Tofino until I got here and saw for myself! Tofino is probably more famous for surfing than for soaring bald eagles but it has wildlife and jaw-droopingly beautiful scenery in abundance. I spied scores of bald eagles by the boat jetty swooping in for a fresh fish lunch.

I love the elegance of the feathers of these majestic birds of prey and the shapes they make in flight. Because they were in the middle of a fishing mission, I was able to capture their facial expressions too in my zoom lens. Watch this space for more Tofino posts! I'm just going to put it out there now that I scored my highest black bear count of 10 in a single day here!
