The White Tower
The white tower is the landmark of Thessaloniki. It’s located on the eastern waterfront, This beautiful round fort dates from the period of the Ottoman Sultan. It was built as part of the city's fortification, on the site of another tower. The White Tower is almost 34 meters high, it has six floors connected to each other. Today the tower is open to the public; the visitors will have a chance to enjoy a very informative museum inside the monument, that’s dedicated to the city’s history as well as a wonderful panoramic view from the top floor.

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloníki
In this Museum, visitors can check out a unique collections of ancient artefacts including gold ornamental art and ancient Greek weapons, as well as masterpieces of art from the archaic, classical and Roman periods. It’s one of the largest museums of Greece.
Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is located in the centre of the city very close to the seafront near the other museums and archaeological sites.
The Museum is open Monday to Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
The ticket costs 8€ (concessions: 4€).
