In April 2014, the hubby and I decided to make a huge change in our family’s lifestyle and eating habits. A4 caught a nasty virus which, naturally, got passed around the household and in just two days’ time, we had our hands full with three very sick kids. I would say that generally speaking, our kids are healthy and would only get sick 2-4 times in a year ranging from a mild cold to a full-on flu. However, this particular virus was a strong one and it forced us to face other health issues of the kids – A4’s possible liver concerns and R2’s allergies – forcing us to review our choices when it comes to our family’s health and lifestyle. After thinking about what would make our family Diet healthier, my husband and I were in agreement with one thing – we have to say goodbye to Processed Foods, which we were surprised to realize actually takes up a huge chunk of our overall diet. We are ten months into this decision and I think it is one of the best decisions we have made for our family.
