Do you know what is your most Productive work time?
Either you are a mom that needs to manage your time or a Business Professional, time has value.
Moms, your time is valued by the number of functioning hours in the day. You value what needs to get done to make the household run properly.
A business professional looks at the amount of money they need or want to make. Then they look at the hours in the day reflects the pay per hour. For example if you want to make 50,000 a year and work 40 hours a week, then before taxes you need to make $24 a hour.
We all have times during the day that we are more productive. It is absolutely important to identify the times of the day that your concentration is at it’s highest and your energy level is up during that time. This is when you will get the most work done and you need to make sure it is the most important. You will be amazed at how much you will get done when you identify your most productive times.
We laugh, or should I say Gregg laughs, at me because we have identified that my productive time is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Before that time, I am waking up and then after that I am winding down. So if we want to get a lot done it needs to be between the 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. times.
Identifying this time in your day will make you more productive and will make organizing your time and tasks so much easier.
Here is some ways to identify your Peak times during the day.
- Find a light week in your schedule. One that is not filled with unusual activities and track your activities. Track them and mark when you got the most done, when you felt the best and also when you were the most alert.
- Look at what time during the day you have the least amount of interruptions. Try to find times that you are feeling energized as well as the house or work is calm and have little interruptions.
- Map out how long your peak times last. Is it 30 minutes that you stay concentrated and this happens 4 times a day or more or is it 90 minutes and it happens 3 times a day?
Once you are able to pinpoint your peak hours you will then be able to start block scheduling your days and put the most important task in your peak energy times.
