Scams are not uncommon, especially these days. Whether it be in person or online, you will eventually find out that there are some very Dishonest people out there.
Another term that these scams can be classified as would be “confidence tricks”. These particular con artists abuse the human psyche in a way that they may formulate some sort of trust between themselves and their prey.
There are a number of steps that they will take in order to make you fall into their trap. The end goal is generally for their profit and not yours. Be aware of the build-up because there will be a point where they will convince you of their legitimacy.
These scams can be done by anyone and there doesn’t seem to be many similarities when it comes to the characteristics of these con artists.
Be Careful Out There
Although these acts are extremely dishonest, please do not try to approach the person attempting to con you. These people are usually fully invested in their get-rich-quick schemes and have every intention of making a sale. Not all cons are considered illegal. However, if you ever feel too intimidated, then you should always make sure you call someone you trust if you are unsure of what to do. If you begin to feel threatened then make sure you call the police.
It’s always better to be safe, than sorry.
