The most popular way to use Zalyn is to enter your Rental Info (pickup location, dropoff location, pickup and dropoff date & time) in the green search form and hit the Search button.
This takes you to the search results page, where you'll see a list of available vehicles with the current retail price, along with a matching coupon for that vehicle. The results are sorted by the odds the coupon will work and the resulting discounted price. However, coupons are finicky and don't always work. Trying out different coupons can be time-consuming, especially when it involves typing in your rental info repeatedly, copy/pasting the discount code and clicking through the multi-step checkout screen to get to to final price.
To make life easier, we implemented "deep-linking". So, whenever you click a coupon on the search results page, we deep-link (whenever possible) to a booking partner by sending all relevant rental and coupon info. As a result, you go straight to the checkout page where you see the discounted total and are a click away from booking your rental vehicle.
Lately, we've noticed that some of you arrive directly at a Coupon page (like this one) or a Coupon List page (like this one). However, when you click to use the coupon we're unable to deep-link to a booking site since we don't have your rental info. As a result, we can only send you to the rental agency's website and give you the discount code(s) that you need to manually enter. This is very cumbersome to say the least.
The good news is that starting today, we're going to ask you for your rental info whenever you click to use a coupon on a Coupon or Coupon List page. If you provide this information, we'll be able to deep-link you to a booking site by send all the relevant rental info and discount code(s).
Once you set your rental info, you won't be asked for it again . However, if you want to change the rental info, simply click the Set Rental Info (pencil icon) next to the SELECT button and edit the data.
