As Jack Canfield, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul said:
“Burchard’s Life’s Golden Ticket is a powerful parable of love, loss, and redemption that will stir the souls of its readers. Burchard has crafted something eternal here.”
The book talks about second chances. A story that each and every one of us can relate to. In the world where we are so consumed with how the society changes us, that even our relationship with the people around us takes a toll on us. And when do these relationships matter? It is only on the verge of losing them that we realize we have come so far and forget to continuously nurture them. I am happy if people were given a chance to turn around a situation and a bad relationship to good one eventually. But what if there are no second chances anymore?
The magic of the book is to identify yourself with any of the characters. Own them and join them in their magical journey from loving, losing and redeeming their lives anew. Though I must warn you, at some point if you’re not fun of self-help books you might find this a little bit corny but as always, pick a portion of the book that will help you get motivated and inspired in changing something in your life at the moment.
Below are lines/quotes in the book that in my opinion holds the most power to help your life get the second chance you needed.
“But if you don’t decide what you want in life, you can’t change your course to get it. No goals, no growth. No clarity, no change.”
“You let the themes in your life become your beliefs, and you let those beliefs guide your behaviors.”
“Another step. Small, bold steps. That’s how you change. You must take another step.”
“Grant me the strength to focus this week, to be mindful and present, to serve with excellence, to be a force of love.”
