I was getting the girls ready for school one day before Halloween and I got a call from someone local asking for a photographer for a Superhero Family session. Mom would be Lois Lane, Dad would be Clark Kent, plus a 2-year-old Batman and 1-year-old Robin. I was intrigued! I haven’t had a lot of time to do individual portrait sessions this year due to my events, but I could not pass this one up.
I chose our local middle school because it had a courtyard with benches and also because it looked a little like a government building. I arrived a little early to scout the location for some Superhero-worthy spots.
Now my superpower (as a mom of 5-year old twins) is knowing when I need help. A 1-year might not get around that fast but a 2-year old is just not standing still by their own free will. So, I brought my secret weapon…..a superhero assistant in her own right. Maddie!
Now we’re ready to get down to business….
OK I take back what I said about the 1 year old not being able to move that fast.
Saving the power plant….and the world from imminent destruction.
Clark Kent is a superhero in disguise. I’m sure he can juggle a couple of kids right????
We’ll be safe with these three watching over our city!
Reading the Daily Planet, and breaking the news about Daddy’s secret…..
Uh oh. Containment Breech.
While Maddie wrangled the kids, we were able to get some shots with just Mom & Dad. Dad wasn’t very excited about doing this session at first, but he was SO GREAT!
Superman is saving the day and Lois again! Lois (aka Chelsey) had the best ideas!!!
This one may be my favorite! Best expressions ever!!!
I forgot how exhausting photographing toddlers can be. But still……WHAT A FUN TIME!
