Recipe: Salmon Caesar Salad

A plain Caesar salad is a joy to eat, even if my use of the world “plain” does sound a little bit disparaging. There’s often a reason that you find the same dish appearing on restaurant menus around the world – it’ll be easy to make but a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, with a combination of flavours and textures that just work. It’s something that you know you can throw together when you want a solid plate of food and you don’t have much time on your hands…

If you do have the luxury of time in which to prepare your meal it’s also a very forgiving base from which to explore other flavours with relatively little risk – many varieties of chicken, salmon and prawns can find a very comfortable spot on that bed of crispy Romaine lettuce and its creamy sauce.

In this case I’ve stayed relatively classic, with some pan fried Salmon, seasoned with lemon and paprika, but you really can mix it up with whatever you crave!
