So in September I shared that how Grateful I am for few things. I’m grateful to make a progress, to see how far we have come from our first to the fifth issue and edition of YouCount Magazine. Some of you have been part of our journey from the first edition, now to fifth one.

I want you to know that I am grateful for you, my subscriber, reader, perhaps also my listener of Live to Your Full Potential podcast. You make me feel like I am making an impact on someone’s life, and I cherish that.

With what is going on around the globe, I can’t help it but giving thanks to Almighty God. I have recently written an article “You Can Begin Again,” and shared my experiences and observations, a couple of examples of my hardest times in my life. Life can be tough sometimes. But during this humanitarian crises for instance, we are reminded to be grateful. I mean if you have electricity, you have water, a place to lay your head on, you are healthy, you have someone to share your life with, you have a good career, and a job; don’t take all these things for granted. It’s something to be grateful for. Tragedies can happen to anyone as part of life. When you have few things going well in your life they are enough to be grateful for, to give thanks God for.

The Bible says God loves the praises of His people. In the book of Psalm 22 verse 3 reading from King James Bible version it says, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” You want to invite the presence of God in your life and draw near to Him, praise Him. Give Him thanks, and be grateful even for the few things you have for. Tell God, even though there are some things I’m expecting for You to make a way for me, but I truly appreciate with what I currently have. I’m grateful I woke up this morning with full of expectations that it’s going to be well with me.

Even us human beings, we respond well when someone shows us that they appreciate us. It shows that we are valued. I mean, even at work, there is this study that said employees who felt were appreciated by their employers performed their tasks and responsibilities very well than those who felt were unappreciated. But also, when you appreciate your customers and audiences with little notes of thanks once a while here and there, it can make a difference in your business relationship with them. They may turn to be your loyal customers and audiences just because you appreciate them. There are a lot of competitions out there. It’s the little things like appreciating your customers that can make a huge difference for them to choose you, and not your competitors.

When other people are going through really tough times, and you are not, give thanks to God for not allowing you to go through those hard times. In the book of Psalm chapter 100 verse 4 reading from New Living Translation Bible version it says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His Name.”

When you develop the habit of giving thinks and being grateful regardless your situations maybe or seem, you are basically setting yourself up for favor. Favor from God, and favor from men, maybe your employer, your parents, your husband. I mean, who doesn’t want an appreciative wife? For example, instead of nagging appreciate your husband that will set the atmosphere for him to consider what you have trying to tell him…hahaha. Appreciate him when he compromises some things for you. Appreciate him when he makes an effort to do the best he can. Appreciate him when he decides to come home early, right after work hours.

Truth is, God and His people, both respond well to thanksgiving. Tell God, you are thankful for protecting you and your loved ones. Tell Him, “I am thankful for Your daily mercies and grace God.”

There is this story about Ten Leprosy in the Bible, and it tells in the book of Luke chapter 17 verses 11 to 19 that, “As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, He reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As He entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him for what He had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.”

The nine were cleansed but the one, who went to give thanks to Jesus, was completely healed. Some Bible teachers and scholars said that he was completely healed to the point that there were no sign that he had leprosy. The nine were healed, but maybe they still had scars on their bodies. But the grateful one, his body parts were all restored, and there were no scars remained. So be grateful even for the small things you have and watch doors of abundance opening for you.
