That was the exact reaction I had to One Piece chapter 911. To hear Ace's name after so long. We all felt the way Luffy did. But it's time to rip the band-aid off. Ace needs to be talked about. It's been 2 years since his death. There isn't much about his past that we know about in the manga. I am really curious about his connection with O-Tama. I can't wait to hear what O-Tama has to say about Ace. Let's start at the beginning of this chapter then work our way to the end.
Lastly, I am really curious about Ace's time at Wano. It's really sad that O-Tama doesn't know what happened. It shows how clueless the people of Wano are to the outside world. I am really eager to see how Luffy tells her. I am dying to see if Luffy gets sentimental. To finally get an Ace flashback is going to feel really good. But why would Ace tell Tama to wait for him? Was he planning on taking care of her when he returned? What are the details of this promise?

What Happened to the Rest of the Straw Hats
At the beginning of the One Piece chapter 911, we learned what happened to Sanji, Nami, Brook, Carrot, and Chopper. It wasn't anything major like chapter 910 made it seem. Sanji just sky walked the others to Wano. I am so glad I didn't get a chance to write about 910. My theory as to what happened to them was way off. I forgot Sanji could skywalk. I think his ability is going to come in handy big time in the future.
We still don't know what happened to Franky, Robin, Usopp, Law, Kinemon, or Zorro. I do think something bad happened after what Zorro did. The fact that none of them responded to Luffy is a red flag. If one of them wasn't busy they would have responded. The fact that NO ONE responded is bad. I think that something did happen to them. I think either Sanji or Luffy is going to find out what happened. They will probably have to save them.
Another thing too I don't like is that once again everyone is separated. This has been a pattern in the last 2 story arcs. Like, come on Oda what's going on? I hate to say it but from now on I don't think we will see them together all that much. I think it's something we will have to get used to. I think Oda is doing this to grow the characters. Like giving them their own adventures outside of the crew.
Beast Pirates and O-Tama
This panel with the 2 beast pirates is interesting. If you look deeper you will see that Luffy's one-on-one with Katakuri wasn't for nothing. I think the whole cake island arc was a training arc for Wano. I don't think we will see Luffy doing additional training here at Wano. I think his fight with Katakuri was training.
Luffy took them both out before they had a chance to do anything. It felt really good to see that after what happened on whole cake. YouTuber Sawyer7mage stated that Luffy used advanced observation haki to see into the future a bit. I agree with him. I don't think Luffy used regular observation haki. Then he used conqueror's haki on the baboon. I love the panel above. It's so funny how the baboon and komainu are acting like his pets now.
I don't think these pirates knew who Luffy was. When he told the baboon to kill him he just said that guy. He never used Luffy's name. It is around this time that O-Tama was introduced. I love this character already. She isn't your typical little girl. The fact that she knocked one of the pirates out with a bat shows how spunky she is. We also find out that she has a devil's fruit power.
O-Tama
We also find out a few more things. O-Tama wants to be a ninja, there used to be a village where she is at, and that Kaido's factories poisoned the water. The former village could have been a ninja village. It's possible that when Kaido took over he had that village destroyed. My question is what is Kaido producing in his factories?
I think it was really sad and sweet at the same time that Tama gave up her last rice for Luffy. I know Luffy felt bad after he found out. But that also means he will protect her as a result. Like he holds her in high esteem now. I feel bad for her though. She has led a rough life. I am actually wondering if her parents were killed by Kaido or his men. It's highly likely Tama lost everything to Kaido.
I want to mention really quick how important it is that the Sunny is hidden. In the last 2 story arcs that wasn't the case. The Straw Hats were attacked on their ship because it wasn't hidden. This time that won't happen. It also means that enemies won't be able to tell if the Straw Hats are at Wano or not. At least they won't be able to pinpoint their location.
Lastly, I am really curious about Ace's time at Wano. It's really sad that O-Tama doesn't know what happened. It shows how clueless the people of Wano are to the outside world.
