Get Yourself Some Lettuce

Next time you are in downtown Walnut Creek give Lettuce a try! It is a fantastic spot to grab lunch while you are out shopping for the day. It is known locally for its amazing selection of salads. The produce is brought in from local farms and made with the best quality ingredients!
Lettuce is one of the healthier salad options you will find in Walnut Creek. It has a wide selection of salads, ranging in a variety of different flavor combinations. Craving some Mexican food? How about the chipotle chopped salad with spicy chicken, ripe mango, corn, black beans, goat cheese, and your choice of house made dressing. Or perhaps Greek food is more your forte? Try the oppa salad with roma tomatoes, cucumber, mushroom, feta cheese, and a lemon oil vinaigrette. Whatever your fancy is, this place has it! In fact, if one of the fifteen salad combinations on the Menu doesn’t interest you then you can build your own perfect salad with the ingredients and dressings available at the restaurant.
If you are looking for more than a salad, Lettuce also has a wide variety of fresh sandwiches, pastas, and homemade soups on the menu as well. My favorite sandwich is the roma, which comes with imported prosciutto, provolone cheese, fresh basil, roasted bell peppers, olive oil, and Acme focaccia bread. Another good choice is the SFO sandwich. This one has grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, shredded romaine, mayo, provolone cheese, and Acme ciabatta bread. For Pasta I recommend the angel hair pasta. It has grilled chicken, fresh tomato, toasted garlic, fresh basil, and olive oil. This pasta is incredibly light, satisfying, and flavorful. If you are looking for something a little richer I would suggest the rigatoni carbonara. This is probably the only “unhealthy” item on the menu, but it is so rich and dreamy that it is worth the extra calories. This pasta is a take on the classic carbonara with smoked apple bacon, sautéed onion, and a creamy alfredo sauce. If it is a cold and rainy day, then try out some of the amazing homemade soups they have to offer as well. My favorites are the portabella mushroom and the roasted tomato basil. Both are pureed with cream to give them a smooth texture. Additionally, both of these are gluten free!
With a menu like this it can be hard to decide on one thing to get, therefore I suggest the half and half options. For example, you can choose from the menu a half salad and half sandwich, or a half soup and half sandwich, or a half salad and half pasta, etc. The combinations are endless! You will leave this place with a full and happy tummy!
