Podulu/Dry Powders

Andhra people love these dry Powders too. The first recipe I want to share with u is Kandi Podi which is made with variety of lentils or dals.

Kandi Podi:
  • Kandi Pappu(Toor dal) - 1 cup
  • Pesara pappu(Green gram) - 1/2 cup
  • Pachi Senaga Pappu(Bengal gram) - 1/2 cup
  • Minapappu(Black gram) - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilly powder - 1-2 spoons
  • Cumin seeds - 3/4 spoon
Procedure:
  • Toast all the lentils (dals) separately till leave a good toasty aroma.
  • Then grind everything including cumin with some salt. Kandi podi is ready

This goes very well with plain hot rice. ENJOY!!
