Andhra people love these dry Powders too. The first recipe I want to share with u is Kandi Podi which is made with variety of lentils or dals.
Kandi Podi:
This goes very well with plain hot rice. ENJOY!!
Kandi Podi:
- Kandi Pappu(Toor dal) - 1 cup
- Pesara pappu(Green gram) - 1/2 cup
- Pachi Senaga Pappu(Bengal gram) - 1/2 cup
- Minapappu(Black gram) - 1/2 cup
- Red chilly powder - 1-2 spoons
- Cumin seeds - 3/4 spoon
- Toast all the lentils (dals) separately till leave a good toasty aroma.
- Then grind everything including cumin with some salt. Kandi podi is ready
