Ramadaan Gifts.

This year we made Ramadaan Gifts for her friends.

Her gang includes 5 girls and 1 boy.

She was pretty excited and so was I.

She kept on questioning if the cookies were ready, peeking at the oven every two seconds once I put them in.

After they were baked we let them cool. Then we used toothpick and ready made icing to write initials on the cookies.

These are initial Arabic characters of her friends names.

Today she gave them to her friends saying “دعاء ما ياد” which translates to “remember me in your prayers.”

Its a small gesture and a small Gift in this month of gratitude. But the magnitude of the value of sharing and kindness is infinite.

I thank Allah for my parents and this life that moulded me to be who I am today.

I Thank Allah for my Brother and my immediate maternal family for being the way they are. Through thick and thin.

I thank my Husband for he chose bravely to be with me and lovingly still does

Lastly, I thank my offspring who is my uncanny replica and makes me relive my life every single day. She is the reason I started writing, and one day if I loose everything but have her, I still win.

S is س in arabic.
