It's a strange feeling when you find a person who you can trust with anything. A person who seems so similar to you that you almost always know what they are thinking or how they are feeling. Someone who you would feel completely satisfied spending every day of your life with. When I was younger, I thought this was impossible. Every girl I had ever liked either wouldn't give me the light of day or would turn out to be very different than the person I thought I knew.
Then came my Girlfriend in college. Then you came into my life. I can barely begin to describe how grateful I am for you. I know that I can trust you with anything, and that you will always have my back. I know that you will never give up on me, even when times get rough. Your smile never ceases to bring joy into my life, and your intelligence never fails to amaze me.
Your friends have become my friends, not just because I am trying to impress you, but rather because the people who you associate with are generally great people. Although your accomplishments are far greater than mine, you don't let that become a divide between us. Rather, you Push me, whether you realize it or not, to become the best version of myself. I want to succeed more than anything, run faster than everyone, just so I can stand by your side and make you feel proud. I believe that this is the ultimate demonstration of love: When you want to succeed just so someone you love feels proud. Everything I'm doing, every time I run or push myself to the breaking point, I do it for you. I know you would do the same for me.
No one is able to predict how long these feelings will last but I hope they never end. You are my light, and I hope, if even in a small way, I can be yours.
