Big Winter Acquisition For The Reds!
So excited! I can’t wait for the baseball season! The reds made a big move today and improved their line-up by adding a proven Leadoff Hitter. I can’t wait to see what Phillips, Votto, Bruce, Ludwick do with someone on base!
I knew that it wasn’t going to be long until the Reds got rid of Drew Stubbs. A part of me wanted to see him do great this year and prove everyone wrong. But, another part of me saw his lack of production for the last couple of years and wanted to run him out of town on a rail. It is time for the Reds to move on and make it to the NLCS next season and maybe even the World Series. I will miss Stubs’ hustle, but I will not miss his strikeouts.
Cincinnati Reds President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Walt Jocketty today announced acquisition of leadoff hitter and CF Shin-Soo Choo, IF Jason Donald and cash from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for CF Drew Stubbs and SS Didi Gregorius.“It was very difficult giving up home-grown talent, but we think Choo can fill the missing parts in our lineup both offensively and defensively,” Jocketty said. “He is an exciting player, and we expect him to set the table for Phillips, Votto, Bruce, Ludwick and the rest of our run producers.” Read More
