A Romania Story that starts with Tallis

It has been a while since I had enough time to spend on my blog. Sadly, a million tasks took over my life and I am very behind with all my blog plans. However, I am now ready to show you the wonderful stories from my recent two trips in Romania. Apart from a lot of work and sorting out our office there, we made some time to visit the areas closer to Bucharest and spent some time relaxing and learning more about our country.

Travelling makes me the happiest and even if it’s tiring, the satisfaction it gives me overcomes all sleepless nights and all hours that it takes to plan each trip. As we know I am a bit OCD and our last experience in Cuba when we did not book anything before getting there, cured me from too much on the spur of the moment travelling. The older I get, the more I feel the need to really choose the places I sleep in and the food I eat. Until now I was more interested in seeing new places, walking long hours and perhaps snaking something in between. But right now, I am questioning other aspects of a trip.

So we started our trip in a relaxing mood in Brasov, Romania, the place where I learnt to ski. Skiing was not yet possible, but a more than welcome walk in the forest, was in order.

And yes, during this step of my trip I still had long hair.

I must say after ten minutes of walking, the path seemed longer and longer and we got pretty tired. After a whole summer where we worked tirelessly, this first step to relax was a bit extreme and we needed sleep more than fresh air. Luckily fresh air helped with the sleeping part.

It was quite chilly in the mornings and evenings and a few more layers were required and especially for people who get easily chilly, a hat. I wore this cool Tallis hat and I found it perfect for a smart casual look, which is what I usually like to wear on holidays. I am not too much into track suits and sneakers, so I always look for a hat that can bring an outfit up. I am never too comfy unless I exercise. I love wearing hats and caps and all sort of things to put on ones head and this one was so comfortable, I even forgot I had it on.

Tallis is a Geneva based brand with whom we have been working at Minthical for a while now and I became a big fan, especially because of their care for the environment and people whom they work with. All products are made with a lot of love and loads of thought is given into each item, from responsible sourcing to production and even further than that, as they recycle your old Tallis clothes into hats for free.

And I just realised I kinda miss my long hair. This hat looked really good on me!
