Speaking to the Mail, a royal source said: “Although the guest list hasn’t yet been announced, there is no reason he would be invited.”

The wedding is expected to be a low key affair by royal standards – however claims Mr Trump has been looverlooked as he is not a friend of the couple have raised suspicions his predecessor Barack Obama may attend.

President Obama has a close relationship with the prince, and met up with the royal earlier this month for an interview when Harry took over the running of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

Royal household sources added: “Although the wedding is being attended by the Queen, it isn’t an official state occasion. “It is a family event.
