Antim : The Final Truth review

Cast: Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma, Mahima Makwana, Jisshu Sengupta, Nikitin Dheer
Director: Mahesh Manjrekar
Rating: 2

Finally after a much hush Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer Antim : The Final Truth is out and we must say Bhai has yet again saved Aayush’s career. The film, which is set in Pune and is an official remake of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern, features every aspect of a classic Salman Khan film. Salman Khan carries this film on his shoulders, from slow-motion fights to slow-motion entries to subtle yet effective punch lines. Aayush Sharma also performs admirably in a few action situations, but he lacks the necessary swagger to play the part.

Aayush portrays Rahul, the central character in the storey. His background is more like Sanjay Dutt from Vaastav, well this doesn’t work for Aayush, as he falls short of expectations. Land grabs, farmer strife, governmental power games, and other social-political issues are all addressed in the film. Sachin Khedekar, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Upendra Limaye, in addition to Salman and Aayush, play crucial supporting roles.

The film’s backbone and the source of its conflict is the concept of a poor farmer losing his land to forces beyond his control and grasp – a fact that has been widely chronicled in Maharashtra. Despite the larger-than-life canvas and the garish background score’s loud drums, director Mahesh Manjrekar manages to create believable figures.

Several fight scenes between Rajveer and Rahul blend physical punches with punchy remarks, a cheesy combination that appeals to broad the audience. Samples: Rahul: Mera Baap Maharashtra Kesari hai, mera baap Maharashtra Kesari hai, mera baap Maharashtra Rajveer: Main Hind Kesari Hoon, main Hind Kesari hoon, main Hind Kesari hoon, main Hin Rahul: Main Pune ka naya Bhai Bhai Bhai bhai bhai bhai bhai Rajveer: Hindustan ka bhai hoon, main pehle se.

Punjab will also go balle balle because to Salman’s crowd-pleasing phrases. There will be a gurdwara and langar wherever there is a Sardar, wahan wahan. Sirf Wahe Guru ke saamne, a Sardar bends his head.

Antim : The Final Truth review Last words

Overall the film is high on masala, action and loud music. If you can handle this much you can spend your money on it. Otherwise, you can always wait to see the film on OTT and use speed, voice and forward options.
