Square Enix and Applibot announced there will be a Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Halloween event called Pumpkin Fest, and it involves an Aerith Chocobo costume. People who go through the new, temporary story can earn items. Those can then be exchanged for gear, a weapon, and wallpaper for Aerith. 

The announcement image offered a first look at the items people can get. If you get Dorky Lantern and Pumpkin Candy from the event quests, you can then trade those in for equipment. This means you can eventually get the five-star Chocobo Staff weapon for Aerith in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, as well as the Chocobo costume and an in-app live wallpaper with her in the outfit. There’s no teaser video yet showing how the wallpaper will look, however.

This could be considered the second seasonal Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis event. The first was a Beach Festival Fun event that celebrated the end of Summer 2023. It involved a special version of Zack Fair. 

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available on mobile devices, and the Pumpkin Fest Halloween event runs October 19, 2023 through November 2, 2023. The game will eventually also appear on PCs.
