No matter how many times I visit the Pompidou Museum, I am always in awe of the incredible views of Paris. Going up the glass tube escalators, the view of the west of the city slowly unfolds until you reach the top floor, where the view really comes to life.

I visited the Museum last month at about 6pm (insider secret: Centre Pompidou is open until 9pm every night except Tuesday, and on Thursday, until 11am, so visit at night to avoid daytime crowds) to see the George Baselitz exhibit. Exiting the exhibit on the fifth floor, I took one last look at the view. It was raining out, and the raindrops formed an interesting, abstract texture on the glass. Intrigued by this, I took out my phone and snapped some photos. Coming down the escalator, I took some shots of the blurred red neon on the outside of the museum. Leaving the museum, I took shots of the buildings across the street.
