Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar

I love a restaurant with a good theme and if you ask me, Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar has a great theme! This dive bar is set in a 1940s style airplane hangar and has a great backstory. You might be thinking "Jock Lindsey...that name sounds familiar." Fans of a little movie called Raiders of the Lost Ark will recognize Jock Lindsey as the sidekick and pilot to none other than Indiana Jones.

As shared on the official page for the restaurant, the backstory of Jock Lindsey's is as follows: The two globetrotters (Lindsey and Jones) stumbled on Disney Springs in 1938 while chasing down a mythology-based tip in central Florida. Attracted to the town's natural springs and lush terrain, Jock bought some waterfront property and eventually settled down, piloting seaplane tours across the Sunshine State. Jock eventually built an airplane hangar, air tower and runway, and invited fellow members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to pay him a visit. His home base soon became a popular stopover and watering hole for world travelers and locals alike. And that's how Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar was born. Isn't that a neat backstory?!
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is located at The Landing at Disney Springs. Make sure to check the My Disney Experience app for operating hours and the most up to date menu. They serve beer, wine and signature libations, as well as a variety of appetizers, tacos and flatbreads. Non-alcoholic specialty drinks are also available. Happy Hour specials are currently available Monday-Friday 12pm-3pm.

I love anything vintage so I could spend hours here just taking in all the vintage aviation ambience of the bar. There's a ton of neat memorabilia and some really unique seating areas like the diving bell booth and outdoor seating on the old steamboat named after Jock's pet snake, Reggie. In addition to some great decor, Jock Lindsey's also has some great food and drinks.

The signature libations, with and without alcohol, have some really fun names like Reggie's Revenge, The Fountain of Youth, and Antidote. I like to try a new drink each time I visit and so far I have been very happy with my choices.

On our recent visit, we ordered a few small plates to share. We went with the Snakebite Sliders, Adobo Chicken Tacos and Margherita Flatbread. We really enjoyed all of our choices but my favorite was the Margherita Flatbread. It's hard to go wrong with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze. I've ordered the Snakebite Sliders on several visits to Jock Lindsey's now and I've enjoyed them every time. Sliders are just great bar food.

If you love Jock Lindsey's, make sure to visit during the holiday season when it transforms into Jock Lindsey's HOLIDAY Bar. You'll see a full holiday makeover with tons of Christmas decorations and holiday specialties added to the menu! We visited last December and tried the holiday special C9 Light Deviled Eggs. They were very tasty and festive!

If you're looking for great atmosphere, good food and fun drinks, Jock Lindsey's is a must do on your next visit to Disney Springs.
