Your ensuite bathroom is large and very clean. I’m most impressed with the signature view rooms.

The loch view rooms are located in the newly-built wing of the hotel. It offers brilliant views of Loch Faskally. Loch view rooms are spacious with super king beds and every room has a patio or balcony. These rooms are especially fun in the summer because you can enjoy the patio whilst sipping a cup of tea. Quite brilliant. Just like all the rooms are Fonab Castle, this one is also well-equipped. There is even a safe in the room to store your valuables.

Superior loch view lodge room

The superior loch view lodge is the superlative of the loch view room. You get a larger 7 feet bed and a spacious sitting area with modern furniture. It's a good upgrade if you enjoy a little more space. It's especially smart if you go in the off-season when the weather is unpredictable. The superior loch view lodge room is a luxurious room suitable for long stays.

Welcome to a fairy-tale stay! Fonab Castle penthouse is magnificent… It has the original ceiling panels with a large chandelier. You get the most amazing views over the Perthshire Highlands. I love it when you wake up and open the curtains. It makes you feel like the king of the castle. You’ll sleep in a 7 feet Dickens Nickel bed with Egyptian cotton bedding. There is a lovely fireplace to make the room even cozier. This room is truly mind-blowing and worth the money for special occasions. It's an experience you will never forget.

There are multiple eating amenities within Fonab Castle:

Sandemans is your to-go place if you are looking for luxury dining. You can enjoy 7-course tasting meals that will enlighten your taste. The different ingredients are put together brilliantly. It's very much meant for the fine tasters and not so much if you are looking for a large meal. If that's the case, then I suggest you visit the other places to eat e.g. 1892 or the Lounge.

1892 On the Loch is great for your everyday meal. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, 1892 On the Loch is a charming restaurant with an excellent view and great for al fresco dining in the summer. It has comfortable seats and it's also a good spot to recover from a long walk along the banks of Loch Faskally.

Pod dining is a very fun and unique way to dine. You kind of step outside reality into your pod with a breathtaking loch view. Of course, this is not where Fonab Castle stops. The pods include adjustable heating and mood lighting. You can adjust everything to perfection. It’s a fun way to spend time with your loved ones. The pods can host up to 12 people and you can go either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I recommend dinner around sundown. It’s spectacular!

The Lounge has a traditional Scottish country house setting. You can taste top-of-the-shelf wines selected by the sommeliers of the castle. A Scottish country house wouldn’t be complete without a proper whisky collection. There are local favorites but also legendary and rare bottles. Last but not least, gin! The Lounge offers great gins and gin-based cocktails. You can also get food and bites.

The Woodland Spa

The hotel is not the only reason that people visit the castle. Fonab Castle's Woodland spa is a delight if you are tired and in need of a small break. You will feel refreshed and less stressed afterward. There are quite a few facilities to try at the spa. For instance, A 15-meter swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, thermal suite, steam room, outdoor hot tub, and aroma relax room. There is plenty to do and enjoy at the spa.

The Woodland Spa treatments
