Boracay 2014

It's amazing how God actually actually answers your prayers -- even the ones you forget about.

Last month, my whole family went to Boracay. It's our first time to go on a trip out of town together, on a plane, and in Boracay no less! And just a couple of weeks ago, I realized I wrote it down as one of my Faith Goals and I've actually set it for September. Well, it's supposed to be for my birthday, but I guess God has better plans. :)

Setting aside my shock and disappointment on how commercialized Boracay has become since I last visited last 2009, I would say that Boracay is still one of the best beaches in the world. Specially the sunset, no one can take that away from Boracay.

Boracay via Kalibo

It was the first plane ride for my nephews and it's my first time to go to Boracay via Kalibo. It's a quick plane ride, about 45 minutes, via Air Asia. The rest of the family rode PAL on a separate flight.

Thank you Air Asia!

To get to Boracay from Kalibo airport, you can ride a bus or a van. We opted for a van. Thanks to Driver Dash who got a great deal in renting the best van at the cheapest price. We got the van with installed karaoke! Woot! Unfortunately, we're all tired to do singing so after a while everyone just slept. Haha.

Van with karaoke, How cool is that?!

The van got us into the port -- I forgot which name, but this is the photo. Haha. And then we went on to ride a boat to the island of Boracay! :) That is after paying the boat fee and terminal fee, of course.

When we got to Boracay, we rented another multi-cab to get us to our hotel. I know this one, it costs Php 250. :)

The Island

Hello again, Boracay! The weather was a bit gloomy but Boracay is still beautiful.

Boracay first-timers!
After checking in at Sands Hotel, we wasted no time and hit the beach right away! So from here on, I'll just let the photos do the talking. :)

Birthday at Boracay

It's actually Stephen's birthday when we went to Boracay so we had dinner at Mesa in Regency Hotel. Yes, the same Mesa we have in the major malls. :)

Sands Boracay

We stayed at Sands Boracay for this trip. The hotel is located in Station 3. The kids loved the pool, specially Sophie who can't go out to the beach just yet. And it's nice that the kids have something to do when it's raining outside.

Youngest member of the family, Sophie

Thank you Lord for this opportunity and privilege. Thank you for hearing our prayers even if we forget. :)
