The owners of the cryptocurrency Nano which to store their funds used the Android app, it is recommended to urgently create a new wallet and transfer your funds there, as the wallet application, a vulnerability was discovered.

The project developers made an official appeal on this matter in his Twitter:

*ATTENTION* ANYONE WHO GENERATED A SEED USING THE ANDROID WALLET, IMMEDIATELY MOVE YOUR FUNDS TO ANOTHER WALLET DERIVED FROM A DIFFERENT SEED. *ATTENTION*— Nano (@nano) June 21, 2018

Earlier this year Nano has already hit the headlines of news sites, when hackers managed to steal a huge amount of altcoins from the Italian stock exchange BitGrai.

The new version of wallet for Android was released simultaneously with versions for iOS, Mac, Windows and Linux. However, just a few hours after this vulnerability was discovered.

Project managers are assured Nano users in social networks that the vulnerability has been localized and will not affect users of other wallets.

“We will soon have a patch,” said Troy retzer land, head of communications and public relations of the Nano.

In a separate message, retzer land added that the problem was “not as bad as originally anticipated”.

In the last 24 hours the price of the token has dropped by almost 10% and is currently trading at 2.50 USD.
