It looks like that the recently announced Samsung Galaxy A8+ is going to launch in India soon. The phone has been listed on Amazon India’s website and is mentioned to be an Amazon exclusive product. The product page of the device isn’t live just yet and the listing only lets you register for getting a notification when the phone goes on sale.
Samsung had announced the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ last month and the phones borrowed a few features from the flagship Galaxy S8-series. The Samsung A-series for 2018 was announced with Infinity displays having an 18:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint scanner on the devices is placed below the rear camera, just like how Galaxy S9 is expected to sport.
Interestingly, only the Galaxy A8+ has been listed on Amazon.in and not the Galaxy A8 that comes with slightly trimmed down specifications. The Galaxy A8+ comes with a larger 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display. It has a larger battery of 3500mAh and also a variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The Galaxy A8+ product page on Amazon.in includes a handful of videos detailing the highlights of the phones. Its Infinity Display and dual selfie cameras have to be on the list along with its metal and glass design that also seems inspired by Samsung’s flagship lineup.
Pricing and availability are the things that are provided in this listing; it just says, “coming soon”. However, a report by PhoneRadar suggested that the phone should go official on January 10 in India. The phone getting listed online at this point of time makes the date look plausible for the phone’s launch. Nevertheless, we shall keep you posted with the details of the Galaxy A8+.
