Samsung has just announced a long-awaited SE version of the Samsung Galaxy S23. Despite several rumours and tips, the existence and possible launching of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE model was still not confirmed until the second quarter of the year when photos of the device started making rounds on the internet.

Since the company never launched the Galaxy S22 FE, this model serves as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which arrived in the global markets in 2021.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: Specifications
The new Galaxy S23 FE boasts a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X FHD+ panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate. During the day, its display can achieve peak brightness of up to 1450nits.
Moving on to its dimensions, the Galaxy S23 FE is 8.2mm thin and weighs 209 grams. Its width is around 76.5mm.
Speaking of performance, the Galaxy S23 FE draws power from either Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chipset or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, depending on the variant you choose or available in your market. These are the same chipsets that power all three models of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series (Samsung Galaxy S22 5G, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra).
The handset offers a 4,500mAh battery and comes with tons of charging options including wireless and reverse wireless charging. The Galaxy S23 FE carries support for 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
In the camera department, the Galaxy S23 FE includes a 10MP selfie snapper on the front and a trio of cameras on the rear. Its triple camera setup consists of a 50MP primary camera(OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support.
Regarding the security of the device, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, like any entry-level flagship smartphone, includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. Also offers support for AI face unlocking via its front camera.
The phone’s durability and resistance to dust and water were also considered during the manufacturing of the device, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 (on front and rear ) and an aluminium frame. Like other Galaxy S23 series phones, the S23 FE model has an IP68 rating.
Also, this handset features Android 13 with One UI 5.1 and according to the company, it will receive four generations of Android OSs and 5 yr of security updates.
Colours
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is offered in three colour choices, namely Mint, Graphite, and Purple.
Global Pricing
There are currently only two storage options for the new Samsung Galaxy S23 FE model: 6+128GB and 8+256GB.
Starting with the lowest-end model, the Korean-based tech giant will charge you around $599 for this model which offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Indian Pricing
In the Indian market, where there is only an Exynos 2200 version of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the pricing of the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is set at Rs 59,999.
The top variant with the same RAM size and 256GB storage will set you back Rs 64,999.
Availability
The new Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to be available for purchase starting tomorrow, October 5th, 2023.
