This year’s congress, attended by approximately 2,000 obstetricians and gynecologists from 126 countries, will feature Samsung Medison as a main sponsor. Its advanced probe enables users to view high-contrast ultrasound images from multiple angles without compromising the quality. These solutions provide accurate measurement results for fetal heart diagnosis and automated measurement of the uterus, respectively.

Moreover, Samsung Medison will introduce AI-automated measurement functions such as BiometryAssist and ViewAssist, which improve fetal growth indicators’ accuracy and annotation in line with the updated ISUOG guidelines. Professor Mar Gil of Torrejón University Hospital, Spain, praised the BiometryAssist feature for its professional accuracy in measuring fetal weight and its potential to significantly reduce measurement time.

Samsung Medison’s upgraded feature, “5D CNS+,” aims to enhance fetal brain examination. It provides nine essential cross-sections of the fetal brain, along with six measurements necessary for diagnosis, including head circumference and diameter. The feature is expected to receive a positive response from healthcare professionals attending the conference due to its high accuracy and convenience.

To further aid medical professionals, Samsung Medison will showcase SonoSync, a real-time ultrasound image-sharing solution, and S-Hub, an IT solution for hospital resource management. These features specialize in remote consulting, training, and improving overall efficiency in healthcare settings.

The symposia held by Samsung Medison on “Obstetrics” and “Gynecology” will present research findings on the clinical utility of various features for diagnosing heart and brain conditions in fetuses, as well as endometriosis. Notably, Dr. Ruben Quintero from The Fetal Institute in the United States will present a compelling case during the “Fetal Therapy and Telesonography” session, highlighting how SonoSync saved the lives of a mother and her newborn in a misdiagnosed fetal distress situation.
