AMD today unveiled six new desktop CPUs based on the Zen 3 and Zen 2 architectures. The company also announced the price and availability details of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which was previously announced at CES 2022.
AMD brings three new CPUs in the Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 series – Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 5 5500.
The Ryzen 7 5700X is very similar to Ryzen 5800X with 8-core/16-thread, but the boost and base clocks are reduced to 4.6 and 3.4GHz, respectively. The 5800X has a TDP of 65W, and there’s no box cooler in the retail packaging. The Ryzen 7 5700X will be available for $299.

AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600 comes with 6-core/12-thread processor with a base clock speed of 3.5GHz and turbo clock speed of 4.4Hz. It comes at a price tag of $199 and includes the Wraith Stealth Cooler inside the box. The Ryzen 5 5500 is a 6-core/12-thread CPU clocked at 4.2/3.6GHz. It’s priced at $159 and comes with the Wraith Stealth box cooler.
The Zen 2 based Ryzen 4000 series has three new CPUs – Ryzen 5 4600G, Ryzen 5 4500 and Ryzen 3 4100.
The Ryzen 5 4600G features 6-cores/12-threads with clock speeds of 4.2/3.7GHz. The CPU features an integrated Radeon graphics unit. It has a 65W TDP and costs $154 with the Wraith Stealth cooler. The Ryzen 5 4500 features 6-cores/12-threads, 4.1/3.6GHz clock speed 65W TDP, but it doesn’t have integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 4500 is priced at $129. Lastly, the Ryzen Ryzen 3 4100 – a 4-cores/8-threads CPU clocked at 4.0/3.8GHz with 65W TDP, comes at $99.
The CPUs mentioned above will be available for purchase starting April 4.
Previously announced Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be available worldwide from April 20, priced at $449.
