Eden Hazard’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain and reports have continued to link him away from London.
The 27-year-old had admitted that he was open for a fresh challenge, even though new boss, Maurizio Sarri, had admitted he wanted to work with him.
Sarri was quoted as saying: “Hazard is a very high level player and I think one of the top two or three European players,”
“I would like to keep them (Chelsea’s top players) in my squad.”
“A telephone call without looking them in the eyes will not give me any certainty. I would like to meet these players face to face and talk to them and understand what will be best for everyone.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the Belgian.
But recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid have pulled out of the transfer of Hazard, while Barcelona are still in it.
Radio Monte Carlo (RMC) have reported fresh contact from Barcelona to Chelsea regarding Hazard.
Chelsea’s lack of Champions League football next season and Barcelona’s willingness to match his wages could prove to be key in sealing the transfer.
Barcelona are understood to have made contact about Eden Hazard, according to RMC. https://t.co/bT7HaZDIjm
