BORO' JUST TOO GOOD FOR PARKGATE.

Rudy as ever acknowledges the travelling Boro fans.
Boro were far too good for a physical Parkgate side today.Boro attacked from the kick off and could have been 2 goal's to the good before Ryan Blott's eventual opener in the 11th minute. Tony Hackworth supplied the cross and Blotty was on hand at the far post to head home, at that moment I and around 200 other Boro fans in the ground were looking forward to a dominant Boro grabbing  a hatfull of goals against a hard working but only average Parkgate side.
Cheer up Dayle !
However, in spite of our dominance it was Parkgate who were next on the scoresheet, the referee had awarded Parkgate a penalty followng a stupid tackle by Boro's Plummer on Parkgate's Roebuck. Fletcher equalised for 'Gate from the penalty spot.
It was still all Boro and we got our deserved reward on the stroke of half time when Jimmy Beadle headed home from a Ryan Blott cross, Boro fans were relieved, but even more joy was to come minutes later before the referee blew for half time, deep into added time Hackworth was manhandled in the 'Gate penalty area by Parkate's Jackson, the referee pointed to the spot and up stepped Bryan Hughes to send  keeper Poulter the wrong way, the referee then blew to end the half, Boro were 3-1 up and that score was a fair reflection on the performance of the teams.
Jimmy Beadle
The 2nd half started without Ryan Blott who had been replaced by Brown.
I have avoided comments about the referee so far, but he was clueless, just ask his assistant who himself seemed bemused at some of Mr Smith's decision making, he allowed Parkgate back into the game by awarding them what I consider the most ridiculous penalty decision I have ever witnessed, Parkgates Sam Smith was running through toward the Boro goal, the word running does not really explain the sluggish forward movement of the big man, 'donkey' comes to mind, anyway Sam actually looked knackered when he was close to the Boro goal and he just seemed to fall over his own feet and drop to the ground like a sack of coal, Boro defender Plummer never touched Sam, and yet the referee pointed to the spot giving Parkgate an opportunity to close the arrears.
Bryan Hughes puts us 3-1 up from the penalty spot.
The whole ground could not believe the decision, but the penalty was given and Sam himself stepped up and justice was done as his powerful shot crashed against the crossbar and away to safety.
To be fair 'Gate began to look a little dangerous during the last quarter and they did create a couple of half chances, but my 'man of the match' Jimmy Beadle put Boro 4-2 up in the 89th minute with a cracking shot leaving Poulter with no chance, the scoreline flattered Parkgate, I think the game will be remembered as much for the ref's decisions as the football itself .
Triumphant players and manager Rudy after the final whistle.
However 200 or so Boro fans left South Yorkshire and headed up the M1 in happy mood and looking forward to Long Eaton on Tuesday and then the Tadcaster game at home on Saturday, should be a bumper crowd at Queensgate.
 UP THE BORO !
