This year’s Tour de France is being written in history. On the surface, Tadej Poga*ar appears to have defeated Jonas Vingegaard in his quest for a win against the Scandinavian. A large group of 25 riders took control of the day, with the peloton remaining in the shadows. A protest by climate activists forced the race to be abandoned. During stage 11 of the Tour of Italy, Jumbo-Visma and Jonas Vingegaard attacked Tadej Poga*ar. The victories of Tom Pidcock and Chris Froome on the La Grande-Huez and Col du Galibier were the highlights of the race. Mads Pedersen of Norway won stage 14 of the 2022 Tour de France.

Mads never looked like a threat in a sprint and made the others appear sleepy. The three departed departed were Fred Wright, Magnus Cort, and Hugo Houle.
