Hamas fighters in Israel ‘carried manuals on how to make chemical weapons’

Hamas militants who massacred a community in southern Israel also carried instructions on how to make chemical weapons, it has been reported.

Along with modified AK-47s and old Soviet machine guns the fighters used to kill civilians in in Kibbutz Be’eri, they reportedly brought diagrams to help them build lethal bombs.

Israeli president Isaac Herzog told Sky News that the source of the documents is a known 2003 al-Qaeda manual.

He showed Material recovered from a USB drive on the body of a Hamas fighter who infiltrated into Israel on October 7.

‘This is material which was found on the body of one of those sadistic villains. It is al-Qaeda material, official al-Qaeda material,’ he said.

‘When dealing with ISIS, al-Qaeda, and Hamas, this is what we are dealing with. And in this material, there were instructions, how to produce chemical weapons.’

Mero could not independently verify Herzog’s claims, and the use of al-Qaeda’s material does not prove a link between the two groups on its own.

Other disturbing items found on the bodied of gunmen who rampaged across southern communities two weeks ago were Islamic State flags.

The Israel Defence Force (IDF) also shared a video of one of its soldiers found a pink kindergarten bag laying in a field.

The force said it was booby-trapped and containing a remote-activated explosive device weighing seven kg.
