Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently named his three game changers for the Men in Blue in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. Yuvraj Singh surprisingly left out veteran batters Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and opener Shubman Gill.

The Rohit Sharma-led team will start as favorites to win the title in the ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to be played between October 5 and November 19. The Indian team will be hoping to end their decade-long ICC trophy drought in front of the home crowd.

Yuvraj Singh Picks Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja And Mohammed Siraj As Game Changers For India

In an event alongside Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh picked Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Siraj as the key players who can make a significant impact in the World Cup.

“Three game changers, definitely Jasprit Bumrah, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja; I believe he has that experience, aur teesra I think Mohammed Siraj, the way he has been bowling early, So I think ye teen ladke,” he told Harsha Bhogle during an event that was also attended by Gautam Gambhir.

The selectors named the best possible 15-member squad for the marquee event, with Rohit Sharma as the captain. The Indian team is full of superstars who can win the match single-handedly. They hammered Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final to clinch the title.

When asked to pick his three game changers, Gautam Gambhir retained two of Yuvraj Singh’s choices but replaced Jadeja with Rohit Sharma. Gambhir emphasized Rohit Sharma’s current form and ability to perform well on good batting wickets.

“Rohit Sharma isliye bhi kyuki wickets aapko aisi milne waali hai, jaha apko bahut achi batting wickets milegi aur Rohit Sharma jis tarike ki form mein hai, I am sure kaafi runs karenge,” Gambhir said.

Yuvraj also praised Rohit by adding, “Sabko pata hai ki he is a great batsman. Match winner, but very good level-headed person who can make those things….”

Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja represented the team in the last two editions of the ODI World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah has prior experience from the 2019 edition in England, while Mohammed Siraj is set to make his debut in this prestigious tournament.
