Drone video of PSG's new £257 million training ground is insane

Paris Saint-Germain's new £257 million Training ground has been officially unveiled and drone footage proves that is the definition of "state-of-the-art".

But they left the campus in June following a final training session in order to move to a modern, luxury facility in Poissy, around 24km from the centre of Paris.

According to the Daily Mail, the expensive project lasted a year of construction after it was given the all-clear from the council in 2019 but is now fully complete and will house Luis Enrique's men's first-team, as well as PSG Feminine (women's side).

In addition, the academy team will also be based there but there also plans to make the 180 acre complex a multi-sport training centre, meaning the space will be used by handball and judo teams during the second phase of the project, after 2024

In total there is room for 180 athletes and has space for 42 bedrooms overlooking the first-team training area, in addition to a slew of pitches, gyms, swimming pools, chill out zones, video analysis space dining area, a press conference room, changing rooms, and a treatment/massage area.

PSG shared footage of a drone flying through the whole premises and gives an incredible insight to what may just be one of the very best sport centres in world football.

Manchester City unveiled their City Football Academy facility back in 2014, forking out £200 million and achieving huge success in a number of different departments.

But this training base, designed by French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and his firm, Wilmotte & Associé, could well rival the aforementioned campus where the reigning European champions are based.

In 2024, the club hope to have the 5,000 capacity Paris Saint-Germain Campus Stadium ready to host games in the National 2 division, Division 1 Féminine, UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Youth League and more.
