Tokyo Marathon 2023 Welcomes You On March 5

The Tokyo Marathon is aiming to be back to a full-size field for its 2023 edition with 37,500 runners on March 5. The Japanese capital is set to host the 26.2-mile distance catering to international and local runners residing in Japan.

The race last took place with a full field in 2019. The 2020 edition was staged as an elite-only event due to the onset of the COVD-19 pandemic, and the 2021 event was moved to March 2022, with a smaller field size made up almost exclusively of Japanese residents.

The race which is part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Series XV, will host distances for the Marathon, and 10.7km. It will cater to men, women, junior, youth and is also inclusive to wheelchair, visually impaired, intellectually challenged, organ transplant recipients.

The Tokyo Marathon is also steadily moving forward to provide people with the joy of running and what lies beyond it.
