Sloane Stephens was born on March 20, 1993 in Plantation, USA and started playing tennis at the age of nine when her mother Sybil Smith led her to one of the clubs in where they lived at the time.
Now the residence of Stephens is the American city of Plantation. The athlete founded a charitable foundation whose goal is to build courts where children from low-income families could learn tennis.
Career
Sloane started her career in 2007, speaking at ITF competitions in Brazil. Three years later, the tennis player made her debut in the main draw of the WTA tournament, and completed the 2011 season as the youngest participant in the Top 100 ranking.
Her first WTA title was won in 2015 at competitions in
Washington. Then in the final Sloane beat Russian woman Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova with a score of 6 / 1, 6 / 2.
